May Wishlist!

may wishlist

one / two / three / four / five / six / seven / eight / nine / ten / eleven

I haven't been posting lately due to being so busy all the time! A PGCE will do that to you... But I thought I would take advantage of the bank holiday to do a quick blog post.

I love this "I feel the need for tea" mug, I love the design and definitely suits me down to the tea... (nice pun there...haha). This Olaf mug from the disney store is so cute too! Would be great to add to the rest of my disney mug collection.

The two dresses on my wish list this month are unsurprisingly blue, as I love the colour blue, and it is definitely one of my favourite colours to wear and it's so lovely in Summer. I am also graduating again in July and need a new dress to wear. Hopefully, weather permitting, I will be able to wear a lovely summer dress like the one from House of Fraser. I may also need to check my graduation colours too though. The top on my wish list is also very appropriate, seeing as my favourite thing to eat is pizza...

I am also due some new trainers for summer, and Nike trainers are by far the most comfy trainers I have ever owned. I don't usually go for anything lilac or pink, especially not when it comes to trainers but I have to admit that I love these Nike trainers. They would look lovely with jeans or demin shorts in the summer months.

I've noticed that this flat shoes from Oasis featured on my easter wish list and now again on my May wish list, definitely think I need to have a trip to Oasis!

With the weather (hopefully) getting sunnier it would be a good idea to invest in some sun care for my skin. This dream screen from benefit may be a bit more expensive but I'm sure it is a great product and worth splashing out on. I also got a sample of high beam in a benefit set for christmas and definitely need to invest in a bigger bottle soon!

A few people I know have also been raving about this Nars foundation and I was thinking I should probably see what all the fuss is about.

Spring Wishlist!

easter wishlist

one / two / three / four / five / six / seven / eight / nine

Hopefully the weather is going to improve over the next couple of weeks so I'll be able to wear all these lovely Spring colours.

I definitely need some more summery clothes to wear whilst I'm teaching, and this pink blazer would be perfect to add a bit more colour to an outfit, as I tend to only wear black whilst teaching or generally, so this blazer would be create a more summery outfit. This pink blazer would be perfect with some jeans too, or to dress up an outfit for special occasions.

I love this black dress too, which is also from h&m, as its very flattering for my kind of figure and looks fairly comfortable. Also these ballerina shoes look like they would make be super comfortable and suitable for work wear as well with some jeans. The blue dress would also be lovely to wear when the weather is better.

I am always needing some new jeans, and at £30 these jeans from h&m are a good price and should be a good quality pair of jeans. Hopefully the high waist jeans will fit my big bum in too!

Obviously the Michael Kors and Carvela shoes are definitely a 'wish' list item, I will be saving up for these items for a very long time! Whereas the bag from h&m is definitely more affordable, so this may be a nice new handbag for the summer months.

Weekend Wishlist.

Sat 31st

one / two / three / four / five / six / seven / eight

I love these pink shades for lips and nails, I'm usually not the fan of pink but I love pale pink nails and lips and both these items are so affordable. I have never used a lipstick from New Look but hopefully it's good quality but at £3.99 you can't really complain.

I definitely due some new shoes at the moment too, and these loafers from H&M look perfect! at £9.99 they are a great price too, I tend to wear a lot of jeans too and during spring these loafers would look great. A trip to H&M is needed! My black Nikes are also looking a bit old nowadays too, so I would love to splash out on these Nike trainers, or perhaps I will just replace my current Nike trainers.

I always seem to want new jeans, even when I don't really need them. I've not bought any jeans from H&M in a while and I used to find they didn't really fit me very well; I've got huge hips but love skinny jeans. But I would love some more black skinny jeans! These jeans have a waxed finish to them too so I think that they would look great on a night out! I also love both these casual tops, I am actually wearing a similar top to the white and brown one at the moment and love these style of tops so would love to have a few more.

I adore this illustrated fox plate! It is by a lady called Katie Spragg and it would be a lovely collection to have, hopefully there are other designs of animals too.

Hope you all have a great weekend!

New year; new wish list.

january

one / two / three / four / five / six / seven / eight

Here's my January wish list, some of the items are more expensive than others but I definitely feel the need to treat myself soon! I know I got loads of goodies for Christmas but it is always important to remember to treat yourself!

I begin work again in a couple of days and this black blazer would look perfect with some fitted black pants for whilst I'm teaching, plus it is not too expensive which is also a plus, especially if I have a messy day in School.

I love this red OPI nail varnish, it's such a bright and vibrant colour and would brighten up any outfit. I love wearing black so this red would really compliment my outfits.

I am also in need of some new trainers, and I simply love Nike trainers they are by far the most comfy trainers I have ever owned. I wanted these Nike shoes months ago but settled for a different pair as they were on sale. Maybe this month I will treat myself to some lovely new black Nikes!

For Christmas I got a benefit gift set off my boyfriends Nanna, and it contained a miniature version of Benefits lollibalm which was really good. It looks more like a lipgloss compared with a balm, it provides a slight pinky gloss colour and keeps your lips so smooth and hydrated. This product or the other benefit lip balms are definitely must-buys for combating the cold January weather.

I need to get my eyes tested again in the near future, and I'm contemplating treating myself to some new Ray-bans. I have some Ray-ban sunglasses but would love to own some normal glasses too. I managed to get a cheaper deal with my last sunglasses, I will definitely be keeping my eyes open for a good deal.

My skin's so horrible at the moment, which I think is mainly due to hormones, however I would love to treat my skin to some luxurious skin treatment. I have loved every single Philosophy products that I have tried, and I believe that this product will be excellent too. Has anyone used this product or would recommend any other products?

I always wear a watch when I'm working as I need to keep my eye on the time constantly, and this watch would look so gorgeous and would go with every single outfit. It's a little expensive... of course, so again I may have to find a cheaper version.

I need to invest in some more clothes too, and this dress from Oasis is lovely. I love wearing the colour blue as I feel that it matches my skin tone and hair colour, and this dress would be a suitable length to wear on several occasions, for example for work, or for meals out, or family events.

Weekend wishlist!

Weekend wishlist

one / twothree / four / five / six / seven / eight

Now that the weather is getting so cold it would be lovely to have a new fluffy hoody to wear around the house, and this Nightmare before Christmas hoody looks ideal! I looooooove anything related to this film, it is definitely one of my all time favourite Christmas and Halloween films so this hoody would get worn lots!

I'm also eager to try some new Yankee Candles smells, and the Honey Glow and Christmas Cookie candles sound like they would simply smell amazing! As their not too badly priced either they will definitely be worth trying. I'm currently still loving my Salted Caramel Yankee Candle, but I'm always wanting new candles! The Christmas Cookie candle sounds like it would be the perfect smell to fill your house with whilst writing out Christmas cards or wrapping presents!

I'm due some new slippers, I have a tendency to lose them or at least one of them making the other one pointless... So some new cosy slippers would be a great idea, either them or some big fluffy socks!

I don't really know why but I just love this simple cushion, and feel like it would look fantastic in my room. I used to have a slinky black cat and it still feels weird not having her around this house, so although this is only a cushion it would be a nice reminder of how wonderful my old cat truly was.

I have had several people telling me to get this Lush product and it smells so good, so I suppose I really should go out and buy it and see what all the hype is about...

Suede shoes are my all time favourite, I literally cannot resist them! These wedges look like they would be so comfy and will go with so many outfits! I may just have to find a slightly cheaper version though. I currently have some cream wedges from clarks like these ones and they are just so comfy, I can wear them all day! I'll definitely be keeping my eyes open for some black versions.

Last but not least on my weekend wishlist is this gorgeous bag from River Island. I tend to always go for black bags but this brown bag looks lovely and would look perfect with some Winter outfits. The bag is also very well priced!

For the love of Tartan!

tartan

one / two / three / four / five / six / seven / eight / nine / ten

Heres a quick post with a wish/lust list of some of these beautiful tartan items! I love the tartan pattern so much, I am definitely a big fan for all things tartan, whether that's dresses, purses or blankets, whatever it is I love it. I just think that the tartan pattern is so perfect for autumn and winter months! I have also realised that I have always loved tartan patterns, and it is definitely not a fashion style I will never hate or not like. I do actually have a lot of tartan items in my wardrobe already but hopefully I'll get my hands on some more!

I really love both the dresses I have shown above and think they would look lovely with black tights and big chunky boots or even black dolly shoes. Due to the striking tartan pattern I feel like everything else worn with the outfit should be simple and preferably black, same goes for the vest and skirt. The on trend and statement tartan items are ideal for the upcoming colder months. The tartan vans are also ideal for brightening up an everyday casual outfit.

Obviously some of the items on my wish/lust list are more expensive such as the Vivienne Westwood purse, which is so gorgeous and perfect. What I also love about the purse is the bright red interior to the purse which is really striking and distinctive, much like a lot of Vivienne Westwood's fashion range. This purse could also make a simple outfit that much more special and on trend, and would look ideal along side an autumn outfit. But ideally I'll need to keep my eye on a more feasible purse from a cheaper shop.

I also love the statement scarfs, I have had several tartan scarves and would always love some more. The top right scarfs are cashmere scarves and I can just imagine how super cosy and warm the scarves would be. Ideally I would have a whole drawer full of these scarves to wear everyday. I have a burgundy, black and white tartan scarf from M&S and I am forever getting compliments and people asking me where I got it from whenever I wear it, so I would love to add to my collection. The other scarf in the collection above is definitely more affordable, but then again it may be worth spending more because I would much prefer the big chunky cashmere scarves because I feel like a scarf should ideally be big enough to wrap around yourself. This may also be why I love the tartan blanket.

Do you love tartan? Would you buy any of these products?

Wednesday Wish List #4

Wednesday wishlist

one / two / three / four / five / six

I thought I would do my usual Wednesday Wish List but just a brief one, as I don't have too much time to blog at the moment due to starting a new job, but I can always spare some time to do some wish list shopping!

This week on my Wednesday wish list has very basic items and products on really. The checked shirt from New Look is a very usual and everyday look for me, I love anything checked and am definitely overdue a new checked shirt. For £13 the checked shirt is very hard to resist really, I love big baggy checked shirts, they're so comfy and create an effortless look.

I am also after owning some more comfy trainers and would love some new vans. I love black trainers because they go with everything, especially skinny jeans, but also don't look too out of place with leggings or tights.

Both the bags I love too, the faux black suede bag from Topshop seems perfect really. I am a sucker for anything suede or faux suede. Also I am due a new backpack too, as it would be a good idea for my new job, and for some reason I really love this animal print design.

This past week I have had really bad skin so I would love to try this new face mask from Lush, I have only used Lush bath bombs so would love to try some new and different Lush products. Has anyone used this product before?

I also love this watch by Olivia Burton! I'm not usually keen on anything pink but this watch is gorgeous! Definitely wouldn't be one I could wear everyday, so would have to be a treat or be one to put on my birthday wish list, but that is why it is on my wish list this week!

Wednesday Wish List #3

wed wish list

one / two / three / four / five / six / seven

I recently had a clear out from my wardrobe and got rid of quite a few clothes, so really I could do with some new tops and jumpers. At the moment I love both the jumper and t-shirt from Topshop, I love anything with stripes on and that t-shirt would be perfect for a casual look with some skinny jeans. Also the grey jumper looks so cosy and perfect for the cold rainy days we have been having this past week.

However, in the hope that we may have some more sunny days this August I am also loving these two crop tops from Topshop. The daisy crop top would be lovely for a hot summers day outfit with some high waisted shorts, and the black sun and moon crop top would be perfect for a night out outfit.

I am also due to start a new full time job soon and so I really need a new bag to use everyday, ideally it would be a big bag to fit all my stuff into and even maybe a packed lunch as I'll be working long shifts. I usually don't go for anything pink or girly but I do really like this tote bag as the colours look like they would go with most outfits, it also seems like the perfect size. Also the bag is £36 which is fairly reasonable for a bag from Topshop!

I have heard great things about the essie nail varnishes and these colours are so lovely! They remind me of mermaids and I think they would look great on toe nails.

Wednesday Wish List; 6th August.

Wed wish list

one / two / three / four / five / six / seven

I have heard great things about the Topshop Joni jeans and I am due a new pair of jeans so may have to try these out! Have you tried them, or got any other jeans to recommend? I also love this pattern on the crop top from Miss Selfridge but I really need to do a lot of exercise before I can get away with wearing this style of top.

I have been after another Urban Decay naked palette for some time now, I love my Naked Basic palette and use it every day. I also have another collection of Urban Decay eye shadows so I would love another palette.

I have also been after one of these hair Tangle Teezer for some time now. I always wake up with a massive nest on my head after sleeping so this item would definitely help! Has anyone tried these before or would recommend using them?

Recently I declared my love for the OPI nail varnishes, here is the post. So another OPI nail varnish had to feature on my wish list; and I just love this purple one called A grape Affair, but they also have some other great colours worth trying.

I love Ghost perfumes and I am due a new perfume soon so maybe soon I will treat myself to the  Ghost Eclipse perfume. I usually get the Deep Night Ghost perfume but I think this version may be a nice change for the summer months. But I also would love to get the new Marc Jabobs Daisy Dream perfume so may definitely treat myself to that one instead! Are there any perfumes you would recommend at the moment?

Wednesday Wishlist!

Wednesday wish list

one / two / three / four / five / six / seven

At the moment I am dying to get a new coat so I'll be ready for Autumn and Winter, and I would just love to own my own Barbour coat! I'm starting working full time soon so hopefully I will be able to save up and treat myself to a really nice coat. I just love the feel and look of all the Barbour coats, but ideally it needs to have a hood and be at least partially waterproof, for all the times that I'll be out walking my dog Pennie in the rain. This coat is perfect really! Although I will still be keeping my eye on other designs!

I have also been after some new trainers lately, I bought some Nike Air Max trainers last August and I just love them! I wear them almost everyday, they are just so comfy, and because I bought black trainers they seem to go with everything! But these Roshe Run trainers look so comfy too! Also the colour is a bit more summery and would also go with a lot of clothes I own. I am definitely now converted to keep purchasing Nike trainers!

At the Shannon Airport in Ireland I treated myself to an OPI nail varnish and now I want more! These colours are just so lovely! My nail varnish is full of blues but I am due a new purple nail varnish.

The Wildfox Grey Panda intarsia jumper is so cute! The panda design is so lovely and would look so great with some skinny jeans. However this jumper is priced at £205 from Harvey Nichols, so sadly I think this jumper will have to remain on the wish list! I'll just have to keep my eye out for a cheaper version!

The Black Cat Dandly Earrings are also so cute! As you can see I definitely have a thing for clothing items with animals on! Both the earrings and cloud necklace are from a company called Little Moose, and both these items are so adorable, definitely think this company is worth looking at and buying from!

Graduation!

On Thursday I graduated from the University of Leeds, and I got a 2.1 in BSc Psychology!

I am so happy and relieved that my degree is over and that I successfully survived the whole experience! University is without a doubt one of the most stressful experiences I have ever endured. That being said, I am definitely sad that it is over! It's just so scary going from knowing exactly where you are going to next in life; from school to college, from college to university, to then not being exactly sure what the next step is. I am hoping to go back to university do a masters one day, however I feel that I need a slight break from education. But I am definitely going to miss being in education, and learning new knowledge; thus I have to keep reading and learning new things.

On Thursday my graduation was at 3.45pm which is fairly late for a graduation, but we set off from Preston at 12ish to get to Leeds in plenty of time. Once we got to Leeds we parked up and went to sort my tickets, gown and photos. Nobody had informed me of how heavy the gowns actually are, and on Thursday it was one of the hottest days of the year so I was melting in the gown. Hopefully my makeup hadn't melted off too much in the photos either! I had professional photos done too, which was alright, but I just found the guy doing the photos to be a little bit creepy and awkward, and they were done so quickly, I even had to ask him if I could see the photo before I left. I asked my boyfriend to take photos throughout the day too and they turned out pretty well.

The whole graduation ceremony was over so quickly, before I knew it the speeches had been done and all the names had been called out. If I could do it all over again I definitely would. I also managed to not trip or fall over when I went to get my certificate thankfully! Also my university did not allow us to rent or wear the graduation caps which is a shame, but in my professional photos I was wearing the cap. The ceremony was done around 5pm and we returned home, with a side detour to a pub for some tea and a drink.

On the Friday night I celebrated again with family in Preston, by going for a meal at Angelos in Preston city centre, which was really good fun and it was great to see my two Aunts, as one of my aunties came down from Sandbach to come for the meal. The food was really great at the restaurant and I really did enjoy myself. We then went for a drink and a friend joined us to go out for a short while.

I am really glad that I have completed my degree and that it is over, but at the same time I do wish I could do it all again and have a different experience. I did love my time at university but I do wish that I had spent more time in Leeds or explored the city more whilst I lived there. But isn't hindsight a wonderful thing... Maybe one day I will return to Leeds and live there again in the future.

This is the outfit my giant gown was covering when I graduated.

Has anyone else graduated recently?
Anyone got any advice for graduates?

Graduation Outfit Wishlist!

So I'm graduating tomorrow from the University of Leeds for my Psychology degree so thought I would try to do a blogpost about my graduation outfit wish list. I do have a lovely outfit already picked out and sorted for tomorrow, but of course my outfit does not contain £110 Carvela heels, if only!

Graduation

I'm really loving the colour blue at the moment so the dress I've picked out is a pastel blue, as is the lovely OPI nail varnish I picked out. I thought that this colour of blue is perfect for summer, and is a colour I would feel comfortable in too. Also I think the colour compliments my pale skin and brown hair. My university colours are black and emerald green so I also thought that this blue would go with the robe that I"ll be wearing when I graduate. This dress is from Oasis and is £50, I also really like the simple floral design on the dress too, as I didn't want a dress too detailed or a sheer material because as I'll be wearing a gown it will be covering the dress and will also need to be pinned to the dress too. I also really like the simplistic white blazer from Vero Moda for £40 too incase the gown material is itchy or if the weather goes colder.

Hopefully soon I will be able to treat myself to an item off this wish list, either the benefit Hydra Lip Colour or the cute daisy Pandora ring. Then eventually one day I may be able to treat myself to some Carvela heels! I'll keep wishing...

Would you wear this outfit for your graduation?
