Be happy about nothing.

Sunday 23rd Feb 2014

I hoping my post will be a bit therapeutic for myself, if not right now, then for myself to look back on in the future.

I've been in such a stressed unhappy mood all day. I got an email off a staff member at my university and ever since then I've just been a bit down. Also every sunday evening i travel back to my house in Leeds, as i go home at every opportunity i.e. every weekend. But i really didn't fancy a train journey tonight so ill go back tomorrow, giving myself the chance to have some more home comforts tonight.

I'm just wanting to write down some thoughts and feelings I've had today, in order to give myself some perspective and to realise its not all bad.…

Uni is really stressing me out at the moment, like really badly. But I just need to remember that it will be over soon. The end is in sight, just a few more months to go! So i just need to reminding myself that so what if i don't do as well as I'd hoped. It is not the end of the world. Even if I think it is at the time. I just need to remember there are better, more important things in my life, meaning right in this moment but also in my future. I'll probably read this back in 10 years time and remember all my worrying and crying and I'll think why did i worry so much when i have all this crap to worry about now. Life moves on, and I’ll need to too.

But I am so happy with my life other wise. My family is so great and all healthy, and they are all supportive of everything I do and what I want to do. My boyfriend is amazing and makes me so happy. I love all the times i have with my family and all the times i have with my close friends. But if I'm ever feeling a bit down i can always rely on my boyfriend to give me a cuddle and to go on a lovely walk with my dog. So if it does ever get too tough for myself, I'll focus on those positive aspects of my life.
So even though I'm stressing and keep getting upset, i need to know that it will pass.

I will dazzle, I will outshine them all.

Sat 22nd Feb 2014

Sorry I've been rubbish with posting! I have had a busy start to the year, I'm in my last year at university so obviously i had lots of exams to stress and worry about, then the new semester started and such so.

But I thought I would type a quick blog whilst I have some spare time tonight, and whilst I have actually done something with my day!

Today I had such a lovely day.

First of all, my boyfriend and I made blueberry pancakes this morning, which were gorgeous and just so nice to have for a change. I know its pancake day soon but it was nice to have them anyways. I saw something online about them when I woke up and that made me really crave them.

My boyfriend and I planned on going on the Tolkien Trail with my cocker spaniel in Preston, so we drove all the way to near Clitheroe from my house taking about 40 minutes and then parked up in a small little village.  However we could not find any of the paths or any signs or ways the go when we got there, so instead we just ended up driving to the Sandyhurst college and then wandered round their grounds and fields.

The buildings of Sandyhurst College were amazing; they were just big old-fashioned grand buildings. There was also an antique fair on so we thought we would have a quick nosey in, but it was £5 in so of course we didn’t pay that! Haha. So we walked round all the woods, nearly falling over several times in the fallen trees, and we all got stuck in lots of bogs and mud baths. Pennie also almost gave a pheasant a heart attack as she charged through the bushes and trees. Don’t think many people walked through the woods as there were no paths or walk-throughs so definitely don’t think that pheasant was expecting us! But it was actually really nice to just see Pennie really enjoying herself, she much prefers chasing after rabbits and rummaging through the bushes instead of being surrounded by other dogs and people on busy fields or parks. Don’t think I would drive all that way out again but it was a lovely day and so great to just spend time with my boyfriend and dog.

We nipped into a place where our friend works on our way back home, which was lovely just to go say a quick hello to her and to see where she works. And of course we bought some cheeses from their food hall ha. When we got home we had to bath pennie before doing anything else as she was covered in mud and twigs as per usual.

Tonight has been nice and relaxed, we watched Before Sunset which is a cute romantic indie film about a couple of people, and we ate lots of homemade curry and sat cuddled up with my cocker spaniel, we definitely succeeded in tiring out the dog!

I'm feeling pretty lousy at the moment as my sinuses are playing up again this weekend so think ill just have an early night. Struggling to breathe so don't think my sleep will be that great tonight sadly.

I'll try keep posting more when i do exciting things with my days.

New Year Resolutions!

Happy New Year!

I'm not really one for making new year resolutions, as I never seem to stick with them… plus I always forget them, but i suppose writing some down on here is a good start.

However, the one at the top of my list is definitely finishing university with a good grade and then moving back to Preston to get a decent job in the north west. I'm not sure exactly what i am going to get a job in, i just know i want to start saving money to travel, to get my own car, and also to possibly save money to move into a place with mark some time in the future.

This year has been great, but has definitely had its ups and downs, and with uni particularly stressing me out too much. I was going to go onto further education but i think i am done with formal education for a while, but i may return to university after a year or so out. Another worry of mine is losing contact with my housemates, so this next year i will have to make sure i still ring/Skype/meet up with Claire and Naomi as much as possible.

The highlight of my year definitely has to be my wonderful boyfriend, who really does treat me like a princess (most the time ha) and also puts up with my crap and all my worrying. So hopefully this year we will continue to be together in our amazing relationship and then maybe one day in the future we will move into our own place together, but if it happens in 2014 I'd be surprised. Maybe that's one for 2015! :)

So here's a few resolutions:

- finish uni with a good grade (and as little stress as possible)
- buy my own car
- get a good job to save lots of money
- travel to lots of different places
- read all my books (which i said would have to wait till after university)
- join a gym/exercise more and also learn to treat my body better, also learn some lovely veggie recipes!
- learn to stress less and to stop worrying about little insignificant things
- Keep in contact/visit Claire and Naomi once I've finish university.

Some of my favourite photos and memories of my year…

It's a wonderful life.

December 26 2013.

Hi all, so I figured now would be a great time to start a blog, or a blog sort of thing. I'm never too sure what to write or say, and I do have a tendency to ramble. But even if its just me that will read these some time in the future I'm sure they will still be worthwhile.

So this year has been wonderful. Truly it has. I have been made super happy by one wonderful guy. I passed second year of university and I am well into my third and final year in Leeds, soon to be returning back home, yay! This will be my last year with which I’ll have to cram revision in before my January exams, which is also a plus.

So Christmas day was a typical day for me in all honesty. We went to the neighbours the night before, like tradition, but i left early (well 11) as i wasn't feeling great. I came down with a horrible cold sadly, affecting my mood and appetite and such. But nevertheless I had a wonderful time. I woke early due to sneezing, and obviously being the noisy sod I am I woke my parents too. So we all got up and opened presents, I was spoilt as always. Think my favourite presents are my Sally mug (to match Marks Jack mug), TWD seasons 1-3 and my shoes off Mark. We then rushed over to my grandparents to have Christmas dinner with my grandparents, matt and Sarah. Following which we opened presents and pulled crackers and played our usual charades. Mark then blessed us with his presence and we just walked pennie, ate more food, chatted and opened more presents. Mark had brought me the presents from his Nan, and apparently I did very well with my present for his Nan. Better then her son in fact ha! I later returned back to Blackburn with Mark and we went to his aunties for drinks and so he could spend some time with his family. We ended up playing a very stressful game of the Logo Game, always fun playing a game with competitive women who had been drinking all day, but all in all it was good fun.

Sadly I am still full of a horrible cold and today I have just been resting.

I suppose this is a reasonable first post, and I should really be going to bed shortly to kick this cold.
Thought i would add a few photos of my Christmas too :)
